About Us

Hello, my name is Karen Coombes, designer, creator and the heart and soul of Scarlett.  I grew up in England and now live in Toronto, Canada with my husband Adam, 4 kids and 2 cats.  Starting as a sought after designer for friends and family, my love of all things paper and commitment to quality blossomed and Scarlett Greetings was born.

Since 2003 when our first collection was launched in Canada, Scarlett has grown from strength to strength.  Our cards are now sold throughout the world and have been recognised by the Greeting Card Associations in both the Uk and America, being nominated twice for the HENRIES and as a LOUIE finalist 3 years in a row.

My sister-in-law Lesley Coombes, lives in Hampshire, England and joined the Scarlett team in 2008 as UK office manager.  She is an organisational junkie and keeps everything running smoothly.  With her in charge we were able to bring our products “home”, and they are now available in many stores across the Uk.

We are committed to helping the environment in any way we can.  All of our board and envelopes are certified as made from trees which are planted and harvested in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.  We also print using soy based inks.
