HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL

Calling all Shakespeare fans!

New card designs featuring quotes from his famous plays and sonnets are what I have been working on recently.  As it was Shakespeare’s birthday yesterday to celebrate (a little belatedly I know) I’m posting a few images to show you.

Since reading Macbeth at school I have been in love with Shakespeare and  we force take the kids every year to the outdoor production in High Park, Toronto, with picnic, blankets and mosquito spray at the ready!  At Stratford this summer they are performing another of my faves – Much Ado About Nothing – I feel a family day out coming on!

This quote from Much Ado makes a great anniversary card, or note to a good friend.  And below another great saying from the same play which could be sent to celebrate a birthday or new baby.

This range  also includes quotes from Jane Austen, Eleanor Roosevelt and Picasso and will be available soon in stores and also from our website.

THE HENRIES 2010

I love my mornings, the quietness of the house before all the kids wake up, the relative coolness and scents of the morning air ….. and this morning is even better!! I sat down to check my emails with the first cuppa of the day and there it was – a message to tell me Scarlett Greetings is a Henries finalist for the second year running. Whooooooo Hooooooo!!
Its a nailbiting wait until the 7 October when we will find out at the spectacular Henries Ball in London if we’ve won a prestigious Henries trophy… so fingers crossed for us.

A few examples from our “Apostrophes” range which has been nominated in the Best Words and Sentiments category. Above a25 (Life should be celebrated) and below a16 (Cinderella) and a21 (Babies)

WHAT’S HOT

Apostrophes collection
a2 – cinderella
I received a call from Gale at Progressive Greetings to tell me that one of our lovely customers, Jane at Paper Mosaic in Putney, had nominated our apostrophes range for the “WHAT’S HOT” guide. I called her to say thank you and she told me that our cards have been selling very well.
So if you are in London this Easter weekend to attend the Putney Music Festival or to watch the famous Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race which starts from Putney Bridge on Saturday or if you simply live in the area then please stop by Jane’s store which can be found at 15a The Exchange, Putney High Street, SW15 1TW (telephone: 020 8780 2222) and take a look at all the wonderful things she has to offer.
